FAQ

Why not just use Kaggle?

The Kaggle version stops updating this season — this platform is the only live version. Every Tuesday during the season, new game results are ingested, validated, and published. Your dataset stays current; the historical record keeps growing.

Does this predict game outcomes?

No. We don't predict or pick winners. We show complete historical game data — scores, weather conditions, margins of victory — with real sample sizes. You filter the record, you see every game that matched, and you draw your own conclusions.

What does 'sample size' actually mean here?

Every stat we display includes its n — the number of games that matched your filter. n ≥ 500 is a deep sample. 100–499 is thin. Under 100 is too small to trust, and we mark it as such.

How do I read the rate bars?

Every bar shows the historical rate for the games that matched your filter — win rates, scoring outcomes, weather splits. Strong rates render mint green; weak ones render neutral gray. We never show red, and every number comes with its sample size so you know exactly how much to trust it.

How fresh is the data?

During the season, weekly results are ingested every Tuesday. Pro and Analyst subscribers get a data-update notice when new games go live.
