Why We Built This
Every NFL analyst eventually hits the same wall: you want to test a hypothesis about weather and scoring, or home-field advantage, or ATS performance after a bye week — and there's no single, clean dataset that goes back far enough to answer it properly.
We built Spreadspoke to fix that. Starting with the AFL-NFL merger in 1966, we've tracked every regular season game, playoff game, and Super Bowl — along with point spreads, over/unders, weather conditions, and stadium details. It's the dataset we always wanted to use, so we built it ourselves.
The enhanced dataset (119 columns) adds pre-engineered analytics — ELO ratings, Pythagorean expectations, rolling ATS records, rest advantage, and more — so you spend time on insights instead of data engineering.
